Anybody up for a MANIF against the Death Penalty today...?

Alas...
If they're not directly affected,
many are those who do not give a damn...
pure and simple!

Some would rather clamor for the return

-as improbable and in bad taste as it can be-
of old, odd favorites...
Or protest the misuse of classic
(although hardly "legends" at all...)
characters that we all affectionated
at one time or another...

Or even demand a sequel or
more respect for a personal fave...
(as odd a choice as it may be!)

Many would rather do that, yes

But the fact is -
our "legalized assassinations"
need protesting too!


You can't just turn your back
and pretend not to know that,
you damn yankee grim reaper wannabees, you...!
Next time - it could be you!
And there are two things for sure
in life - death... and taxes!
THAT you surely know, EH?

So we cannot afford to be detached and aloof
about issues that "don't concern us now"...
Odds are not good though
that big changes will come in this matter.
I am most definitely *not*
holding my breath on this one...!
